He showed up a the pancake house

I was having a cup of coffee with a business associate at the original pancake house yesterday morning... and as usual the topic turned to where she was spiritually. However, this time she brought up the subject. She was raised Catholic, but really hasn't felt comfortable with any of the Churches or religions that she has explored (I felt like she may have read about some things, but really hasn't visited or participated) but that's neither here or there.

She began to tell her story that she really just wasn't comfortable with what happens after death. The hereafter as she referred to it. She said that many people she knew that have died haven't come back... so there really must not be a heaven or hell. We talked that I felt that there we a couple of different issues there... reincarnation... and Heaven or hell.

As we continued, she said that she was working on these "things." I of course, pushed a little and asked how she was working on them or what she was doing to work on them. She said nothing, just thinking about them. I tried to encourage her to explore and to look into those feelings, but I didn't want to be too pushy. Whenever we would start to go a little deeper, she would deflect the conversation by talking about her friend who has all kinds of problems or her daughter who did as well.

So I told her "I would certainly prayer for her... as a matter of fact I will pray for you right now if you're comfortable with that." This is when I started to feel the Spirit... she said yes and before I could ask... she held her hands out. Then as I was about to pray... she says will you pray for my friend too? I said of course I will... and then she said and will you pray for my daughter too? It was an awesome, yet small acceptance that there was something to this prayer thing.

So we prayed for a couple minutes at the table and of course I asked for God to reveal herself to her... to help her sort thru her questions and for her friend, her daughter and her business. We then got up and were standing in line waiting to pay our check... and out of nowhere I felt this hand on my shoulder and at the same time I saw a hand go on her shoulder. A gentleman said to us... "hey, I heard you guys praying back there, and I wanted you to know that I am in agreement with you. God Bless you guys today."

Wow... neither one of us knew this man. We were speechless for just a second. Then I said, "wasn't that cool... that was second coolest thing to happen today... the first was praying for you." She said... "I agree."
